Disco Elysium – Part 1-3

One thing I do want to do out is the sheer vivid detail present in all of the writing we’ve encountered so far. Even if I didn’t have the assistance of the visuals, the descriptions alone of each scene are enough to let my mind’s eye paint the scene for me.
This Espirt de Corps check for example, after we hang up on the 41st precinct, is the quality of writing I would expect from a published author (and I am aware that the writer is a published author). I can imagine the small, smoke-filled room with all of those officers amusing themselves with the plight of their co-worker, even though the room is never once depicted visually.
There’s an attention to the use of descriptive and punchy adjectives that I might need to consider adapting into my own writing.
