The Rogue Prince of Persia – Part 1-2
The first run may not have gone our way, but just is the wont of rogue-likes. Rarely does one ever get to the end of the first try.
That just means we need to try one more time, learning and developing as we go.

I’ll need to remember next time I play this to balance the audio a bit better. Thankfully, my voice is mostly clear and easy to hear, but the game audio should not be this loud.
Normally, a roguelike game of this nature wouldn’t even be a consideration for me. To reach the “end” of a typical roguelike requires investing dozens of hours across numerous runs, accumulating small advantages and bonuses over the course of the campaign until we’re finally ready. The resulting gameplay loop would go on far longer than I am comfortable with for a typical Let’s Play on this channel.
However, I found that even factoring in my early access time in which the grand finale was no longer available, The Rogue Prince of Persia took me about 11 hours to complete the story Evil Empire was aiming to tell. The remaining 27 hours of my other save came from the post-game, unlocking all of the skins and hunting for achievements.
That timescale is more appropriate for the kind of games I’m looking to play on this channel, which made this an excellent choice for me.
