This character… is utter perfection. There has never been a better example of a character who perfectly embodies the idea of a useless, ineffectual bureaucratic politician. Someone who insists their job is absolutely vital, insists that they have the best interests of the people in mind, and at every point demonstrates feckless ineptitude. This is the kind of conversation the communicates what the writers of this game think about centrists and the way they see the world.
