Back to Prince of Persia, I like the decision to impose a discrete, concrete ending without trying to shoehorn in a diagetic reason for the player to continue performing runs despite having “completed” the campaign and saved the Kingdom. If one can find a good reason that can be nestled nicely into existing lore, then by all means. But as Hades 2 taught me, writing around the fact that roguelikes never end can produce poor result depending on the execution.
And considering how time-travel is so tightly entwined with Prince of Persia as a franchise, this is a fitting conclusion: Both to the game and to our series on it.
