Mafia: The Old Country – Part 3-2
Surely nothing will go wrong at a baptism in a mafia movie, right? Right!?

I can see where Andre is coming from when he criticizes the Uncharted-style chase scene. While it is beautifully done, it controls make it feel stiff compared to the more effortless flow of Uncharted’s set pieces. That said, given that they were working within the limits of their own engine, I would say they did an incredible job with that sequence.
To elaborate further on my issues with Don Galante and Baron Fontanella aren’t actual problems with the story. Character are obviously allowed to be wrong and make mistakes, but I would have liked a bit of time to understand the thought processes that led to those mistakes. Perhaps it would have been nice to see Fontanella grapple with indecision before making a choice that would ultimately lead to his undoing, or him talk up some of Spadaro’s virtues as further foreshadowing of what was inevitable.
What we have works perfectly well, and there’s plenty for foreshadowing already present, but there’s a part of me that wonders if the developers could have done just a little bit more to really sell the scene.
