Once we make our escape, we have another target to take out. And this time it’s one of the Capos.

Normally, I’m against the types of gradual upgrades that we’re getting in Mafia 3, that slowly improve the game’s quality-of-life as we take over districts and assign them. However, here they serve a purpose in the narrative the game is trying to tell.
As Lincoln embarks on his revenge about Sal, he needs the support of his lieutenants and their organizations. These upgrades that we get represent those connections, and how they come into play. Maybe we, the player, don’t need Betty collecting our money, or Hank dropping off new cars for us. Yet, having access to those services makes our lives a lot easier going forward. It’s the same with better aiming or extra ammo.
Giving us gameplay perks associated with each of the three helps us better understand Lincoln’s position as he balances his relationships between them.
