Zero Parades For Dead Spies – Part 2-1
We still don’t know what our actual mission is, but we’re closing in. There are plenty of leads left to pick through.

I love this confrontation in the Bootleg Bazaar, because it represents a significant improvement in presentation when compared to Disco Elysium. We had elements of this, specifically during the military tribunal, but it happens far more frequently here, and in more diverse situations. Since Zero Parades is less a detective game, and more of a spy thriller, it also makes sense to incorporate more of these high stress, dangerous scenarios into the script.
But this isn’t an action game. It’s still fundamentally an RPG at the end of day, and Zero Parades is not going to turn into a shooter the way Andre wants it to. This is a good compromise, to let us do something more active and engaged while still allowing our skills and dice rolls to dictate the outcome of events.
And if we’re being real, it feels extreme cool to just walk past your enemy, blending into the crowd, purely off the strength of one’s own raw nerve.
