Zero Parades For Dead Spies – Part 2-3
The Secret Jail is cleverly disguised, but perhaps we can use their disguise to our advantage.

We find ourselves once more discussing the exercise of soft power as a means of exerting political influence, and once more through the lens of culture. Both EMTERR and La Luz wish to take control of Portofiro by influencing its culture, fighting a war by proxy. And again, these tactics are analogous to the way political superpowers like the US and China exert soft power through control of culture and cultural exports.
Of course, here it is also a front for other illegal activities in-theater, but that’s also sadly quite true to life in many respects.
On a less dour note, making a crude imitation of a poem using our Shadowplay reminds me, in many ways, of life as a college student. It feels similar to the way I would pen an essay from scratch the night before it was due, and turn it in knowing it was a vacuous, empty paper with nothing worthwhile to say. It was when I got an A on one of those papers that I wondered if the teacher was actually reading any of them.
In a sense, that’s yet another way Zero Parades is true to life.
