007 First Light – Part 3-3
At long last, we have identified the true villain of this story. Unfortunately, it’s a problem that we won’t be able to solve on our own.

We’re at a strong point both in Bond and Greenway’s character arcs, as they’ve grown and learned from each other. At this point, Bond has been learning much about the world of spycraft and espionage, growing more comfortable in utilizing is own inherent adaptability to its fullest in the field.
Meanwhile, Greenway has been slowly melting away the veneer of cold detachment he buried himself under in order to cope from the trauma of pursuing his old friend years ago. In mentoring Bond, he has reclaimed the passions and dreams that he had lost within himself, like someone finally tasting fresh air after spending too long under the water. He’s been revitalized.
Again, this is fairly elementary storytelling, but it’s executed perfectly. The script and the actors combined bring the concept to life, showcasing this moment where mentor and student can meet as equals and partners for the first time.
And we’re not done yet.
