With the easy challenges out of the way, it’s time to focus on some of the harder ones.

It’s true that Astro Bot is fundamentally a children’s game, and that means there’s only so much that the critical path is allowed to throw at us on our way to the final boss. And yet, there’s an exception to that rule that platformer designers will let you know.
“Any challenge you build is allowed to be as hard as you want it to be as long as you make it optional.”
I struggle to say any of these challenges are hard. (Most of my challenges came from playing while hosting the stream.) But they are a step up from the main game, especially due to a lack of checkpoints. I could see younger or less experienced audiences struggling in a way I don’t thanks to the sheer number of platformers I’ve played.
But since they don’t need to finish these to beat the game, that’s okay.
