I applaud Disco for not taking the easy way out and just forcing us to attack a clearly mentally unsound woman to reclaim our gun from her. Tense as the situation is, the opportunity for empathy presents itself.
In particular, I like that the option exists to allow the community and neighborhood watch to handle the issue, since they’re more likely to have the knowledge and tools to resolve the situation that an RCM officer would. This isn’t the kind of person who will get better rotting in a jail cell, nor is she a true danger to the people around her.
It’s a small thing, but it shows that the dev team was thinking about how to model an effective left-leaning politics that can make a measurable difference.
