One of my favorite parts of Disco Elysium is the numerous ways in which Harry Du Bois can face an untimely end. None of these mods of injury would be fatal to a person of ordinary constitution. Unfortunately, Harry is still in the middle of recovering from the bender that inflicted his amnesia on him. It’s a minor miracle that he’s still walking, and just about any minor injury could be enough to get his heart to stop ticking.
Which makes for a brilliant excuse to die from the most innocuous occupational hazards. It’s very rare for me to start laughing out loud when I die in a video game, but who could blame me for smiling when the heart gives out after kicking a furnace.
