While this is not the first time, nor will it be the last, it is important to note that unlike my usual fare, I am not going in having already played the game before. I have heard many people talk about the early Mafia games, but I have not actually seen much of them for myself, with my own eyes. My first experience with the franchise was Mafia: The Old Country.
The reason this matters is that I usually go into a Let’s Play with someone I’m prepared to mull over or discuss as I play. I wouldn’t say that I have prepared comments exactly, but there are topics I have in the back of my head to bring up as they happen in game.
Perhaps once I get some time under my belt, I will be able to come in like that, prepared as I was to discuss Enzo’s journey in The Old Country. But for more, you will need to bear with me as I gain my bearings.
