Andre is also onto something when he describes how getting rid of the mentor character, the voice of reason, is what allows for the game to further delve into this dramatic, dark narrative shift. Additionally, he is the one who urges, with his dying breath, for Enzo to get out if he can. At the very end, he realizes that he has trapped both himself and Enzo in a vortex of violence that neither one of them can escape.
Such is their fate.
